In 2006, the Chargers competed in their 2nd year of UIL varsity play and successfully defended their 2005 7-4A District Championship. The youth-dominated roster only included 4 seniors and made it through District play undefeated with a 12-0-2 record. They stood proudly at the end of the season with an overall record of 18-4-3.
The Chargers also achieved success in the post season by defeating the McKinney Lions (2-1) to win the UIL Area Championship. Their season ended in the UIL Region 1 Quarterfinal game against Wichita Falls Rider. This game ended 3-3 in regulation, but eventually went to Rider 4-6 in overtime play. Rider eventually lost to Boerne High School in the State Championship game.
The Chargers averaged 2.85 goals scored per game and limited opponents to an average of .96 goals per game - which included the 6 goals against Rider! They notched 12 shutouts on the season.
